Around October of 2024, I began development on a section of FOLKLóRICO codenamed "ORINOCO," which features and Orinoco Goose and various other creatures around the Rio Orinoco in Venezuela.

Within the sequence, there is a story beat that required a river growing in the barren land around the river. Before I started animating the river, I had the idea that I would grab some soil, scan it, and that would serve as the background to the river creation sequence.

These are the results of the first 5 scans; as you can tell there was different approaches to this experiment.
